Step 3

Be ready to receive Request for Quotes (RFQs) or Direct Product Enquiries

There are two ways to sell on goAfrica:

Route 1: Request for Quotation (RFQs)

RFQs contain detailed information about a buyer’s sourcing requirements (Product, Quantity, Size, Colour, Quality, Shipping preferences etc).

goAfrica will receive RFQs, then contact suitable Suppliers that broadly match buyer requirements.

Route 2: Direct Offered Product Enquiry

The buyer contacts the supplier directly enquiring about a specific product listed by Supplier.

Supplier and Buyer via online messaging confirm all material details (Product, Quantity, Colour, Size, Quality and Shipping Preferences etc).

Once agreed an offer is made by Supplier to Buyer. Once the offer is confirmed by Buyer, it becomes an Order.

What are the differences?

  1. An RFQ is posted by the buyer and is reviewed by the goAfrica Customer Service Team before being matched to a suitable supplier or being published on the site.
  2. No buyer contact information is available within the RFQ (before a quote is sent), while a supplier can access the buyer’s contact information if an enquiry is sent.
